Siamak Taghaddos and David Hauser | Grasshopper
Grasshopper, the company formerly known as GotVMail, sells advanced phone numbers/virtual phone systems to entrepreneurial companies that want a professional sounding telephone system without spending a gazillion dollars. In many ways, Grasshopper is a typical Upstart! company. For instance, it was started by partners who met in college (Taghaddos and Hauser both went to Babson College) and took full advantage of their classes, their professors, and Babson’s business plan competition, to grow their company. They’re in Chapter One (“Extreme Collaborators”), but their recent highly successful re-branding campaign also puts them both in the “Brand Builder and the “Morph Master” categories. And based upon an interview with David Hauser that I just read in
